Distribution opportunities

AudioVision's effort to realize its goal of making film and television fully accessible to persons who are vision impaired or restricted does not end with creating the soundtrack. We have created very targeted and effective distribution streams that make described material available to consumers and institutions specializing in services to this market.

Twice a year we produce a "described movie catalogue" which is distributed throughout Canada and the US to libraries.

In addition to having a direct and ongoing relationship with these organizations, we make the catalogue available "on line" through this website to all persons, consumer or institutional, who have an interest in described material. For producers who wish to expand their sales to this market, we offer inclusion in both databases and if so desired, a feature in one of our monthly sales specials.

We also have special distribution for our AudioCinema product internationally. Through deals with Audible.com (largest provider globally of downloadable audio entertainment material) we have our described productions available world wide. Through a recently signed deal with a distributor in the United Kingdom, AudioCinema is also available to institutions and retail outlets serving the vision impaired as of June 1, 2006.

Distribution through these channels allows producers to recover costs on the original investment in description and realizes the importance of making media available to all persons regardless of their circumstances. For more information on how you can maximize the distribution of your described titles, please contact an AudioVision account executive.
